Hello! Welcome to Be Well by Blakeley! I am a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I am a real food lover and fitness enthusiast.
My passion for holistic nutrition grew from my own health journey. In my early 30’s, after having my 3 babies, I found myself mentally and physically exhausted. I couldn’t fall or stay asleep. I was wired but tired. I had horrible brain fog (mommy brain) and felt like I had the onset of dementia and I was only 32. I didn’t have the energy to get through my day and was dealing with bouts of IBS. I also enjoyed running and staying fit. I ran many half marathons and a few full marathons but finding the energy to train was a challenge and found myself bonking during most training runs and running events. I went to see my family practitioner for help and was told that she didn’t know what was wrong with me. Out of frustration and desperation I started to do my own research and learned about the healing power of food. I sought the help of a good childhood friend of mine who had a Ph.D in Nutrition, and who ultimately inspired me to become a NTP, and a local Naturopathic doctor. Together they helped me eliminate food sensitivities and balance blood sugar issues (adrenal). I started eating a whole foods diet. Within a couple weeks I was sleeping well and my brain fog started to go away. Over time my body started to heal itself and I felt like a completely new person! The brain fog was gone, I was no longer bonking during runs, I had my energy back and felt years younger.
This all lead to my passion for the healing power of food and my work as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
